At our IT Organization we are looking for an experienced Developer Tools Product Owner who is responsible for maximizing the value of the products in the CI/CD Enablement portfolio and the work of the team with a significant role in quality control. The product portfolio includes CI/CD templates and re-usable modules, Terraform infrastructure as code modules and architectural pattern automation templates.  The team also provides consultation services to advance teams’ DevOps capabilities.


This role has significant relationships and responsibilities outside the local team, including working with the CI/CD Enablement Product Manager, A&T architects, Evolve, and EMIT capability teams.


  • Manage the product backlogs for the CI/CD Enablement portfolio including defining Stories and prioritizing the Team Backlog to streamline the execution of priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components for the team
  • Collaborate with the CI/CD Enablement Product Manager to define a strategy/vision for the product and align with the team on where the product is heading
  • Define the tactical needs to achieve the vision
  • Communicate and market the value proposition and the business goals of the product
  • Formulate a product or release goals for the near to mid-term
  • Clearly express Product Backlog items
  • Provide direction and make prioritization calls
  • Invite the right people and choose the right techniques to collect feedback and data, for instance, invite selected users the review meeting and carry out a usability test
  • Order the items in the backlog to best achieve goals and missions
  • Optimize the value of the work the team performs
  • Ensure that the product backlogs are visible, transparent, and clear to all, and shows what the team will work on next
  • Guarantee that the team understands items in the Product Backlog to the level needed
  • Be available for questions and spend time with the team
  • Manage the stakeholders and make tough decisions; say no to some ideas and requests




  • College / University degree and/or technical diploma in IT or relevant field
  • Understanding of User Research practices & methods to understand user needs to increase adoption and product quality for future feature prioritization
  • Good listener and curious personality who wants to learn how the teams work and can think creatively on how to solve the right problem
  • Technical aptitude required
  • Experience with Agile / Scrum methodology (scope/requirements management & execution on Agile team)
  • Developer or DevOps Engineering background preferred
  • Ability to appropriately address conflicts amongst stakeholders
  • Ability to appropriately identify & address conflicts within project team
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills in english suitable for daily interactions with business customers
  • Computing Environment includes Azure DevOps, Azure, GitHub, Visual Studio, AWS
