Typical Supply chain candidates would have a technical background with interest/experience in applying this knowledge in commercial situations. Candidates should be interested in industrial problem solving, have strong analytical skills and commercial acumen. They should be able to flexibly deal with changing priorities as well as be able to negotiate the best solution for all parties involved.

Job details

  • Functional supervisor for Replenishment Schedulers located remotely at a Business Service Center
  • Coordinate cross functional team in maintaining the global supply/demand balance
  • May include multiple manufacturing sites, production lines, grade/packaging combinations and supply points
  • Align manufacturing capability with sales demand, while working to optimize inventory levels. Communicate constraints and required forecast adjustments to Sales
  • Responsible for achieving inventory targets, including the management of aged, surplus and non-productive inventories
  • Collaborate with the Sales Demand Analyst/Planner and field Sales personnel to develop accurate demand forecasts
  • Monthly Executive S&OP process: conduct analysis and provide data used to align the organization on monomer and raw material demand, hopper car/packaging requirements
  • Leverage the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) system to optimize supply/demand planning and inventory management. Evaluate potential scenarios and strategies in the medium to long term, including economics.
  • Work with Product Management and Sales to analyze and evaluate requests for additional demand and changes to scheduled production
  • Maintain effective communication with Supply Chain Logistics & Distribution (L&D) to resolve transportation, logistics, packaging and storage issues


Job Requirements

  • BSc/MSc University education with demonstrated academic achievement. Typically, this would be a first degree in an engineering or scientific discipline and then postgraduate study or relevant work experience in Sales and Operations Planning or Integrated Business Planning. APICS CPIM certification is considered to be an asset as well.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Well organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proactive, with an ability to anticipate, identify and resolve potential issues
  • Effective leadership skills, including influencing with no direct formal authority
  • Adaptability to time pressures and rapidly changing priorities
  • SAP (APO, R/3 and AO) and IBP experience helpful
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Excel
