Job Summary

 

The successful applicant will provide technical support to existing and potential new users of ExxonMobil’s range of industrial “oxo” alcohols, acids and higher olefins, including advice on product safety, product composition and product performance.

 

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Support market introduction of new ExxonMobil alcohols and acids
  • Support development of existing ExxonMobil alcohols and acids into existing and new applications
  • Liaise with business line and manufacturing function on product sourcing and quality issues including evaluation of alternative raw materials and evaluation of impact on product performance of changes in process conditions.
  • Provide information to and advise customers on safety, health and environmental issues associated with use of product
  • Provide information to customers regarding regulatory issues associated with use of product
  • Work with customers to resolve product performance or quality complaints

Job Requirements

 

  • Minimum ten years of relevant work experience in acrylate esters and/or acrylate resins
  • Good understanding of chemistry, properties and applications of acrylate esters and/or acrylate resins
  • Masters (or higher) degree in chemistry or chemical engineering or similar discipline
  • Good understanding of physical and  chemical analytical techniques
  • Understanding of product safety  and regulatory issues (e.g. Classification, Labelling)
  • Ability to work with Technical, Sales and Marketing resources to acquire knowledge of the ExxonMobil product portfolio, manufacturing process and product applications to assist in development efforts
