We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Account Manager/Market Developer for our Polymer Sales team.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Develop long term relationship with key stake holders of assigned customers (purchasing, R&D, supply chain)
  • Develop and manage a customer account plan for each customer;
  • Develop contract agreements with customers and exchange partners, ensure that these agreements are accurately recorded in the system, monitor actual sales orders against the agreements
  • Conduct sales calls and customer visits to solicit sales from customers. 
  • Negotiate (within guidelines) prices, discounts, volume rebates, sales commissions and sales terms with customers
  • Resolve customer claims and disputes;
  • Develop new customer leads at existing or new customers and convert these leads into opportunities and sales.
  • Explore (new) markets for (new) applications in alignment with business/market development team
  • Acquire overall knowledge of market and application trends to support differentiated segment pricing in sales activities
  • Coordinate “Product” sales development activities of  “area/ region” sales team to achieve sales objectives
  • Fully deploy the pipeline methodology and tool to capture, plan and steward sales development efforts
  • Provide a bi-directional interface with sales teams and technology
     

Job Role Responsibilities

 

To be eligible for this role, you :

  • hold an engineering degree in chemical engineering, or an equivalent subject, with knowledge in polymers / material science.
  • have relevant experience in the Polymers area and/or Plastics industry

 

Required skills

  • Structured and process driven
  • Good computer skills (CRM, SalesForce, mobility tools)
  • Technical background in Polymer science, plastic conversion techniques
  • Value added selling skill 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team spirit
  • Fluent in English

 

Successful candidates should possess a broad range of personal effectiveness and leadership skills, with the ability to facilitate business decisions in a team environment.
