Job Role Summary

The Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEAF) Supply Chain Strategy & Optimization team is looking for a Supply Chain Improve Advisor. The role will report to the EMEAF Supply Chain Improve Supervisor.

The Improve Advisor is responsible of leading and driving improvement activities through development, implementation and execution, including communication to functional and business stakeholders & facilitation of decision making. He is also developing processes to facilitate future improve activity streamlining


Primary Job Function

  • Lead discretionary Chemical Supply Chain improve project development and facilitates implementation activities.
  • Creates solution alternatives for Supply Chain and Business Unit stakeholders, and manages the stage process for each project.
  • Facilitates input and activity with all functions within a project, including procurement sourcing, manufacturing and all Supply Chain areas…
  • Act as a knowledgeable resource or Subject Matter Expert in a designated area of Supply Chain activity and distributes that knowledge through training, training development and mentoring.

Job Requirements

  • MSc University education with demonstrated academic achievement. Typically, this would be a first degree in an engineering or scientific discipline and then postgraduate study.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in project management and supply chain / logistic knowledge in a few areas: Marine Liquids Transport, Marine Dry Cargo, Liquid and Solid Truck, Packaging Processes, Packaging Materials, Warehousing, Terminals…
  • Language requirements: Fluency in English required; and command of Dutch or French
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Well organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proactive, with an ability to anticipate, identify and resolve potential issues
  • Effective leadership skills, including influencing with no direct formal authority
  • Customer focus, ability to learn and adapt to change quickly
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with people from various backgrounds in developing innovative solutions of highest general interest
