EU Trade Regulations Advisor
EU Trade Regulations Advisor (TRA), as part of the Regional Supply/Trading group, serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Advisor for import and export related regulations, standards and agreements to the Fuels Supply Chain and Businesses within the region. The TRA will provide guidance to the regional Supply & trading organization as well as the manufacturing plants (i.e. 7 Refineries).



You will:
• Monitor import and export related regulations, determine business impact and communicate requirements of new/changing regulations (Union Customs Code, Dual Use, Harmonized Tariff Classification,        Authorized Economic Operator, Drug Precursor, etc.)
• Recommend/develop solution(s) to comply with new/changing regulations, standards and agreements 
• Maintain training program for compliance personnel
• Support reporting of regulatory incidents and findings, document incidents and monitor closure to correct/prevent future occurrences
• Coordinate/Lead Trade Regulation Management System and Compliance assessments and recommend changes/additions to assessment procedures to improve oversight of compliance
• Coordinate / Maintain / Develop procedures regarding HTS Classification
• Improve efficiency & effectiveness of existing compliance processes with Supply Chain and Customs Agents (e.g. brokers, freight forwarders)
• Engage in advocacy efforts on behalf of ExxonMobil.
• Provide Trade Regulation expertise in support of EM Growth Initiatives


You have:
• BSc University education
• Fluency in English, French language a benefit
• A minimum of 4-5 years’ experience with export/import compliance activities, development of compliance procedures, delivering compliance training, and providing advice/guidance on trade compliance requirements related to EU import/export regulations and International Trade Regulations
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and analytical skills to understand regulations and technical material and present information in a clear, concise manner
• Effective leadership skills to accomplish goals across organizational and functional boundaries
• Ability to influence others through informal leadership to develop productive internal and external networks
• Demonstrated analysis and trouble-shooting skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external personnel
• Self-motivated individual requiring minimal management over-sight.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Excel
