What role you will play in our team

 

 

As IT Security and Controls Specialist for Central Data Hub (Snowflake), you will help establish security and controls framework, revisit and append as needed the existing controls such as Access Management and provisioning, Risk Assessments, Incident Management process, Change Management process etc. Being the key point of contact for Audit and SOX initiatives.

 

Job will be based at Bangalore, Whitefield office (WFO) for 5 days in a week.

What you will do

 

 

Develop and Implement Security Policies: Design, document, and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures for the Snowflake platform.

Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate security risks.

Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).

Access Controls: Implement and manage access controls, ensuring that only authorized users have access to sensitive data.

Monitoring and Reporting: Establish monitoring and reporting mechanisms to detect and respond to security incidents promptly.

Training and Awareness: Conduct security training and awareness programs for employees and stakeholders.

Collaboration: Work closely with IT, data engineering, and other teams to integrate security best practices into all stages of the data lifecycle.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest security trends and technologies and continuously improve the security posture of the Snowflake platform.

About You

 

 

Direct/hands-on experience in the following areas:

    • Experience in implementing Security Controls framework in Enterprise Systems and/or Analytics Platforms.
    • Develop and Implement Security Policies: Design, document, and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures for the Snowflake platform.
    • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate security risks.
    • Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
    • Access Controls: Implement and manage access controls, ensuring that only authorized users have access to sensitive data.

 

Experience: At least 4 years of experience in information security, with a focus on data platforms and Snowflake.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are highly desirable.

Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Snowflake security features, data encryption, access controls, and compliance frameworks.

Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for identifying and mitigating risks.

Communication Skills: Superior written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex security concepts to non-technical audiences.

Leadership: Proven track record of leading security initiatives and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

 

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

    • Generic cloud / SaaS specific certification
    • Snowflake security certification
    • Flexibility to work beyond working hours with EU/US time zones occasionally)
