What role you will play in our team

 

SharePoint Engineer assist supporting the EM SharePoint collaboration platform, which consist of hundreds of servers and are amongst the largest environments in the world.  SharePoint Engineer act as a Level 3 support tier to resolve issues and plan changes. Also responsible for developing and designing architecture and solutions in line with company standards.
Job location is based out of Bangalore, Karnataka

What you will do

 

Primary Job Functions

 

  • Perform Level 3 and Level 4 troubleshooting for complex SharePoint platform  issues escalated from Operations

  • Work with peer organizations and directly with customers to solve technical SharePoint platform issues

  • Leads, coordinates and assists delivery of high-profile SharePoint projects

  • Plan changes to the SharePoint environment and assist in deploying to the environment

  • Provide integration, design, and development of SharePoint infrastructure and consulting on tools & application integration

  • Develop, design and provide Quality Assurance on design and installation procedures

  • Work directly with vendors to solve problems escalated by Operations

  • Participate in the Level 3 on-call rotation

  • All other tasks in line with customer's expectation

About You

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a recognized University in Engineering discipline with minimum GPA 6.5

  • Minimum 4 years of hands on experience in SharePoint

  • Proficiency in English, strong interpersonal & communication skills

  • Minimum 4 years of experience working in the SharePoint Administration

  • Experience with the scrum and agile practices

 

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

 

Technical skills:

  • Platform support or platform engineering experience

  • Change management

  • Windows Server skills

  • Microsoft IIS server

  • General Vendor Management

  • General SharePoint skills

Desired skills:

  • DNS and name resolution

  • MS SQL

  • Network

  • Scripting (PowerShell)

  • Cloud IaaS (AWS)

  • SharePoint Online (O365)

  • Infrastructure as code (Terraform)
