ExxonMobil’s affiliates have offices in India in Bengaluru, Mumbai and the National Capital Region.
ExxonMobil’s affiliates in India supporting the Product Solutions business engage in the marketing, sales and distribution of performance as well as specialty products across chemicals and lubricants businesses. The India planning teams are also embedded with global business units for business planning and analytics.
ExxonMobil’s LNG affiliate in India supporting the upstream business provides consultant services for other ExxonMobil upstream affiliates and conducts LNG market-development activities.
The Global Business Center - Technology Center provides a range of technical and business support services for ExxonMobil’s operations around the globe.

What role you play in our team
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to guide, coach, and support Agile scrum teams in delivering high‑quality products. The ideal candidate will facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove impediments, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure alignment between teams and business goals.
What you will do
1. Agile Process Facilitation
- Lead and facilitate core Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand‑ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Retrospectives).
- Ensure teams follow Agile/Scrum principles, practices, and framework guidelines.
- Maintain sprint boards, team backlogs, and relevant Agile artifacts.
2. Team Coaching & Support
- Coach team members on Agile values and mindset.
- Help teams become self‑organizing and cross‑functional.
- Guide the team in establishing clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations.
3. Impediment Removal
- Identify and remove obstacles that hinder team progress.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, stakeholders, and leadership to address blockers.
4. Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure a healthy, prioritized backlog.
- Facilitate communication between development teams, stakeholders, and leadership.
- Ensure transparency on sprint progress, risks, and outcomes.
5. Continuous Improvement
- Encourage a culture of experimentation, learning, and innovation.
- Facilitate retrospectives that lead to actionable improvements.
- Track and improve key Agile performance metrics (velocity, cycle time, predictability).
6. Delivery Excellence
- Promote best practices in quality, delivery, and technical excellence.
- Support release planning, forecasting, and dependency management.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- 3–7 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach.
- Experience working with Agile software development teams.
- Hands‑on experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile project management tools.
- Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and Agile principles.
- Excellent facilitation, conflict‑resolution, and communication skills.
- Ability to influence without authority and build strong relationships.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical mindset.
- Preferred certifications:
- CSM (Certified ScrumMaster)
- PSM I/II (Professional Scrum Master)
- SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or Agile‑related certifications
Preferred experiences:
- Experience in Scaled Agile environments (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus).
- Exposure to cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working with distributed or cross‑cultural teams.
- Familiarity with product delivery metrics and dashboarding.
