Remedy AR System Platform Administrator

Job Role Summary

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITY:


• Maintain and support the environment and systems used to run the applications under the Baseboard Management Controller Remedy Action Request System Platform Service V9.1
• Investigate, troubleshoot, research and find resolutions to platform impacting issues
• Be able to understand what is a platform problem Vs a problem with another part of the systems like Supplier relationship management, active links, Database, Configuration Management Database
• Coordinate and implement application enhancements and patches
• Leverage technical details specific to Baseboard Management Controller Action Request System platform tools
• Daily monitoring of system health using various tools and reviewing of logs like AppDynamics, Spotlight, Splunk reports, log analyzer, Glog, SQL server manager
• Be able to map network drives and folders, coordinate multiple activities and tasks simultaneously, identify root cause and recommend solution
• Work with Baseboard Management Controller vendor on product or technical issues, troubleshooting, complete support related project deliverables and resolution

 

JOB REQUIREMENT:

• Ability to solve problems and propose innovative ways to improve systems, functions, and processes, understand new technologies / applications 
• Adapt to changing priorities, work on rotational basis as per business needs
• Advanced troubleshooting experience
• Manage support queue and support related project tasks for IT Applications, provide feedback to user requests/problems
• Experience installing/implementing system patches/enhancements
• Minimum 2 years of experience in supporting Baseboard Management Controller Remedy tool, technical experience in supporting applications running on Windows and SQL Server & working with Windows
• Minimum 1 year of experience in writing scripts and queries for SQL Server
• Experience in working on projects to address technical issues, using or supporting Baseboard Management Controller Remedy tool
• Project experience in working technical requirements, researching/addressing technical issues, and completing support related project deliverable
• Experience in working on platforms like Windows, SQL Server, BMC Suite of Applications
