What role you will play in our team

 

  • Develop & support power-related projects, opportunities & technologies for upstream, product solutions, and low carbon solutions value chains that promote ExxonMobil business objectives.
  • As a Power Development Analyst, you will be an ambassador for commercial acumen within the corporation. You will serve as a hub of information, combining technical and financial inputs to generate economic and market insights that drive major decisions.

What you will do

 

  • Analyze commercialization of new gas, power and low carbon opportunities. 
  • Understand power market structures & policy developments.
  • Lead development of long-term power market / price outlooks.
  • Support development, prioritization and selection of commercial and technical concepts for new and existing assets.
  • Develop Power reference databases and data analysis capabilities for collection and coordination of inputs for power market balances and pricing analysis. 
  • Utilize economic analysis, modeling, business acumen and opportunity evaluation to facilitate improved business investment, opportunity shaping and portfolio quality decisions.
  • Understand the commercial and contract structure for the business and support business development activities.
  • Create presentations for meetings with executive management team.
  • Lead or assist in discussions or negotiations with customers or with other third parties.
  • Interface and support management, business lines and other support teams as appropriate.
  • Exhibit deep curiosity, demonstrating strategic thinking to drive long term growth.
  • Contribute as member of an integrated business team responsible for the project/business activities, including cross-functional collaboration and identification of business improvement opportunities.
  • Support analysis and interpretation of outputs for development of insights and presentations. 
     

About You

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree preferably in Engineering, Business, Mathematics, Finance or a related field from a recognized university with minimum GPA of 6.5 and above.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with project economics, power generation, power markets or policy development, development of power commercial options or long-term price outlook development in the Energy Industry.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in financial, technical, commercial, business or market analysis roles.
  • Experience with project financial modelling and investment evaluation.
  • Strong analytical skills and Excel proficiency.
  • Demonstrated team player and leader with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong commitment to excellence and effective communication.

Preferred Qualifications / Experience

 

  • Previous experience in Energy preferred, but not required (including Oil & Gas, Power Plants, Utilities, Transmission & Distribution etc.)
  • Experience with financial modeling, reporting financial metrics and cash flow analysis.
  • Demonstrated history of adaptability and collaboration.
  • Experience with business strategy or business development projects.
