What role you will play in our team

 

Maintenance Engineer (Information Management) Provides leadership, guidance, and directional support in Asset Information Management from Technology Center

What you will do

 

  • Oversee delivery of IM services to Assets and Business units though deployment and performance monitoring of standardized, scalable document and data management processes and tools including documentation control and engineering drawing updates.
  • Support IM Service Provider resourcing for Assets and Business units including planning, deployment, demobilization, training, and performance monitoring.
  • Develop new processes & bring continuous improvement in Information Management through KPI monitoring and utilizing experience.
  • Responsible for mentoring junior engineers in Information Management best practices.
  • Facilitate workshops to collate business requirement and propose business process and/or system enhancement.
  • Collaborate with Project IM personnel to ensure alignment with Asset/Business Unit requirements for handover and on-going brownfield project activities.
  • Conducts and Steward Information Management surveillance and assessments including Management System compliance, audits and reviews.
  • Facilitate communications and collaboration between global IM practitioners and stakeholders to drive standardization, continuous improvement, and business value.
  • Maintain governance and change management for processes, standards, and tools.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders across the corporation to resolve Information Management queries and issues

 

About you

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation) from a recognized university with CGPA 6.0 or above
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Oil and Gas Production/Operations or similar industry
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in the field of Operations/Maintenance & understanding of industry processes such as MOCs, HAZOP, PSSR, System audits etc.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Information Management domain working with EDMS tools, IM standards, requirements, workflows and procedures.
  • Thorough technical knowledge of different types of Engineering and Equipment drawings and documents including typical data attributes.
  • In-depth knowledge of Project & Asset Information Management best practices and Standards
  • Good understanding of Document lifecycle process from Projects to Operations handover, redlines & as-building process, concurrent engineering process etc.
  • Good understanding of IM Standards such as CFIHOS, Reference Data Libraries including Equipment and Document Classification.
  • Good understanding of Plant Breakdown Structures, Document Numbering, Equipment Tag Numbering, Document Revisioning, Document Classification & Taxonomy
  • Knowledge of leading Engineering design tools from software vendors such as Hexagon, Aveva and Autodesk (SPPID, SPI, SPEL, SP3D, E3D, AutoCAD, Plant 3D etc.)
  • Ability to understand and coordinate cross discipline work.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders for query resolutions
  • The role will be based in Bengaluru and working in morning (9 to 18 hours) or evening (13:30 to 22:30 hours) shift time
  • Able to take extended international business trips as may be needed to any of the company sites

 

 

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

 

 

  • Proficient in EDMS tools such as Aconex, OpenText, Vault.
  • Strong knowledge on the concept of 2D and 3D Engineering tools.
  • Knowledge on SAP/CMMS preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Knowledge on Asset Digital twins, 3D modelling concepts and data system integrations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
