What role you will play in our team

 

The Machinery Modelling and Design Engineer applies their advanced engineering expertise to support our global manufacturing sites and business units to sustain strong competiveness and reliability. Working collaboratively with other machinery experts the incumbent will be assigned to challenging machinery engineering tasks which have high business impact.

What you will do

 

  • Serve as a key interface with manufacturing sites and business units across the corporation with regards to advanced analysis of machinery.
  • Serve as a key interface with various industry technical consortiums to leverage expertise and influence areas of R&D.
  • Participate in the Machinery Modelling and Design Community of Practice to share and capture learnings and foster strong technical competency in the machinery job family for advanced analysis.
  • Key focus areas are:

    a. Facilitate consistent capture, analysis, and sharing of project learnings.

    b. Leverage fleet learnings to drive improvements to engineering standards and organizational effectiveness as it relates to machinery projects.

    c. Regularly appraise company advanced analysis techniques and tools, ensuring they keep abreast with the industry state-of-the-art.

  • Perform detailed engineering evaluation of vendor new project machinery design proposals.
  • Perform detailed engineering evaluation of vendor machinery retrofit and rerate proposals.
  • Support global manufacturing sites and business units for machinery surveillance and troubleshooting.
  • Coach fellow EMTEC and site machinery engineers in advanced analysis support.
  • Facilitate identification, development, application and sharing of emerging technology and equipment standardization to support project execution and capital efficiency.
  • Assist Machinery Modelling and Design Principal Engineer in development and maintenance of machinery advanced analysis training materials

About You

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering in Mechanical from a recognized university with CGPA 6.5 or above
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in machinery engineering support role for manufacturing or production site within Oil and Gas / Petrochemical / Power Generation industry
  • Minimum 5 years machinery advanced analysis experience (rotor-dynamics, aero-thermodynamics, and in one of the two: mechanical integrity & acoustic /pulsation analysis).
  • Extensive knowledge of API standards covering machinery.
