Job Role Summary


The Machinery engineer, as part of the Bengaluru Technology Center is responsible for number of critical tasks supporting the reliability of the EHM system especially Bently Nevada System 1 at corporate assets, as well as enhancing the efficiency of the technical consulting provided to the sites. The EHM Specialist is an integral part of the monitoring team working closely with site engineers and EMRE technology specialists. 


The EHM Specialist will be located in Bengaluru, India 

Job Role Responsibilities


•    Bently Nevada System 1 EVO software & server Maintenance 

  •  Support System engineers for System1 software upgrades/updates
  •  Support System & Instrumentation engineers for new Bently devices additions
  •  Support System engineers in configuring Distributed Control System (DCS)
  •  System 1 Software Interface and Maintenance
  •  System 1 display configuration (including user interface screens development)
  •  System data management 

•    Bently Nevada System 1 EVO software & server optimization

  •   Optimize the database effective utilization
  •   Reference periodic backups
  •   System validation checks


•    Rotating Equipment EHM Systems Design/Configuration
•    Monitor/Analyze EHM Monitoring Equipment Results
•    System Field instruments/ Bently Nevada devices troubleshooting support 
•    Evaluate and qualify new EHM  technologies
•    Develop and update EHM engineering tools, guides, and specifications
•    Serve as the EHM technology expert liaison between project engineers, plant maintenance, and operations personnel.

Job Requirement


•    Bachelor of Engineer with CGPA of 7.0 or above
•    Minimum 3 years of working experience with Bentley Nevada tools
•    7 – 12 years of experience in upstream or downstream oil and gas machinery EHM projects, operations or maintenance.
•    Five or more years of experience working for petrochemical or oil and gas company will be preferred
•    Have basic understanding of vibration spectrum analysis 
•    Experience and training in below specified tools & systems

  •   Data Acquisition - transducer selection, installation, documentation, and confirmation. 
  •   3500 Operation and Maintenance - involved with operating and maintaining a 3500 Monitoring System.  Knowledgeable in hardware components, rack configuration, operator display software, data acquisition software, and system troubleshooting and maintenance. 
  •   Machinery Diagnostics - theory and practice that underlie successful machinery management. Define the condition of rotating machinery through measurements obtained from vibration transducers or measurements derived from them. Diagnostic methodology that will enable to identify machine malfunctions and their causes. 
  •   System 1 Fundamentals - Asset Condition Management™ platform in a variety of practical daily use situations.  Using System and how to minimize time spent looking at non-significant data, and to focus on the information that is needed to make good management decisions.  
  •   System Turbo Machinery - use the System Asset Condition Management™ platform in a variety of practical daily use situations.  Knowledgeable on using dynamic and transient data in the System platform.
  •   System Decision Support Studio - use the Decision Support tools to enhance their ability to manage their plant assets.  Hands-on practice in areas of creating rule logic and sending notifications with recommended action advisories. 

•    Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
•    Willing and able to travel, as required, for extended periods

•    Ability to communicate effectively and clearly in both written and verbal form for the purpose of instructing others in technical matters and  obtaining cooperation from various personnel.
•    Problem solving / troubleshooting of machinery/rotating systems.
•    Ability to manage short deadlines and emergency situations
•    Results-driven mindset; must drive solutions and effectively communicate recommendations
•    Ability to lead and manage team of engineers to drive consistency and improvement in work process
•    Knowledge with latest industry data analytics tools
