What role you will play in our team

The Legacy Platform Polaris Coordinator will oversee the retirement of seven legacy data platforms as part of the Polaris project. This role requires strong project management or track lead experience, close collaboration with the Polaris project team, and the development of a comprehensive legacy platform retirement roadmap. The coordinator will also review legacy data products and functionalities with business stakeholders to determine migration strategies to Snowflake CDH.

 

Job will be based at Bangalore , Whitefield office ( WFO) for 5 days in a week.

What you will do

Project Management:

    • Lead the planning and execution of the legacy platform retirement process.
    • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones.
    • Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of tasks.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with the Polaris project team and business stakeholders.
    • Facilitate regular meetings and communication to ensure alignment and address any issues.

Legacy Platform Assessment:

    • Conduct thorough reviews of legacy data products and functionalities.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to determine the necessity and feasibility of migrating legacy data to Snowflake CDH.

Migration and Legacy System Retirement Strategy Development:

    • Develop and document migration (if any) and legacy system retirement strategies for legacy data products.
    • Ensure that retirement plans align with business requirements and Polaris project goals.

Risk Management:

    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Documentation and Reporting:

Create comprehensive documentation for legacy platform retirement and migration processes.

Provide regular status updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.

About You

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management and/or Change Management or  Project track lead roles, preferably in data platform environments.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with legacy data platforms (Procurement SQL, Downstream HANA (DHP), Chemical Integrated Data Platform (IDP) Snowflake, F&L Snowflake Platform, SAP Data Warehouse Service, Enterprise Data Hub (EDH)) and future data platform Snowflake CDH.
  • Flexible to working hours to accommodate work with colleagues in EU and US.
  • Independently working experience of  across multiple teams and organizations and across multiple seniority levels.
