What role you will play in team

 

The Lease Accounting Analyst is responsible for providing advanced financial analysis and guidance on lease accounting standards, ensuring compliance with ASC 842 (US GAAP) and IFRS 16 (International) for 10K disclosure and local statutory disclosure reporting. This role requires a balance of technical lease accounting knowledge, business acumen and transformative mindset to thrive corporate/business value.

 

What you will do

 

  • Proficiency in lease accounting system technicalities, supporting the business in reviewing and interpreting lease agreement classifications, ensuring compliance with ASC 842 (US GAAP) and IFRS 16 (international). Collaborate closely with the Accounting Policy team to ensure consistent interpretation
  • Advocate Procurement/Business to understand fundamental of Lease Accounting Standard and EM Accounting Policy requirements and implications
  • Collaborate with Procurement/Business to manage and maintain lease contracts in Lease Accounting System; ROU asset and Lease Liability inception; Amortization; Interest Accretion; Pseudo Payment; Asset Retirement; Modifications Steward and coordinate lease contract renewals and cancellations and book respective accounting entries
  • Ensure compliance with ASC 842 lease accounting standard (US GAAP) and IFRS16 international accounting standard
  • Ensure lease transactions are properly recorded in Ledger for US GAAP and IFRS or Local Book where applicable
  • Reconcile lease-related accounts balance generating from Lease Accounting System with Ledger and ensure totals match for each reporting period. Analyze and resolve lease-related issues
  • Ensure materiality correct financial statement reporting in Group Reporting for 10K Lease disclosure
  • Collaborate with PWC and provide necessary documentation to support SOX compliance
  • Collaborate with FCCR to ensure compliance with local statutory books and handle Lease Disclosure
  • Analyze lease reporting and quarterly provide Lease Topic Review to stakeholders
  • Act as business partner and innovatively leverage modernized data-driven tools to provide insightful lease data to support business decision-making as well as improve end-to-end (E2E) Lease Process from business to financial statement.
  • Maintain expertise in the E2E lease process and adherence to SOX compliance and collaborate with PWC/Auditors to provide necessary documentation to support SOX review  

About you

 

Required Skills and qualifications: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Lease accounting, preferably Fixed Assets and Lease related
  • Fluent English skills due to high interaction with internal and external partners
  • Ability to effectively work across multiple organizations and teams
