ExxonMobil’s affiliates have offices in India in Bengaluru, Mumbai and the National Capital Region. 

 

ExxonMobil’s affiliates in India supporting the Product Solutions business engage in the marketing, sales and distribution of performance as well as specialty products across chemicals and lubricants businesses. The India planning teams are also embedded with global business units for business planning and analytics.

 

ExxonMobil’s LNG affiliate in India supporting the upstream business provides consultant services for other ExxonMobil upstream affiliates and conducts LNG market-development activities.

What role you will play in our team


Platform Management: Overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of various application platforms.

Data Integration: Developing and maintaining data integration pipeline and ensuring efficient data movement between systems.

Server Management: Maintain infrastructure (on-prem and cloud VMs), network, and security (SSL certificate).

User Management: Managing user roles and permissions to ensure secure data access.

Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues to maintain system efficiency.

Collaboration: Working closely with other teams, such as data analysts, developers, and business stakeholders, to ensure the platforms meet organizational needs.

What you will do

 

Technical Proficiency:

  • Knowledge of Platforms: Deep understanding of SAP BOBI, SAP BODS, Qlik, Fivetran, ADF, and ADP.
  • Data Integration: Expertise in ETL processes and data integration techniques.
  • System Administration: Skills in installing, configuring, and maintaining application platforms.
  • Quickly grow technical depth and transfer knowledge to others (mentor technical support groups)
  • Define best practices in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, and Data Technologies/Applications
  • Remain knowledgeable of technology changes utilizing vendor publications, conferences, or discussions

Analytical Skills:

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Demonstrate critical  thinking, analytical skills, and employ judgment to offer thoughtful, concise input toward resolutions of business client problems.
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing data to support business decisions.
  • Partner with Solutions Data Architect/Application Design Lead for development of technology roadmaps and evaluation
  • of new technologies
  • Build effective networks with Business and Projects to influence designs, business decisions and end-of-life assessments
  • Lead efforts to maintain documentation of processes, strategies, technologies and application roadmaps
  • Assist in driving the delivery of quality services in alignment with strategic objective
  • Continuously look for process improvement opportunity to increase productivity
  • Provide guidance to the group and introduction projects for end-to-end change management process and tools

Project Management:

  • Planning and Execution: Experience in managing projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Resource Management: Ability to manage resources effectively to meet project goals.

Platform Setup and Configuration:

  • Install and configure the application platforms to ensure they are optimized for performance and security.
  • Set up data connections and integrations between different platforms.

Monitoring and Maintenance:

  • Regularly monitor system performance and health.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and backups.

Data Integration and ETL Processes:

  • Develop and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure efficient data flow between systems.
  • Implement data transformation rules and data quality checks.

User Management and Support:

  • Manage user roles and permissions to ensure secure access to data.
  • Provide support and training to users on how to use the platforms effectively.


Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:

  • Identify and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Work with vendors and support teams to address complex problems.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Document configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Generate reports on system performance, data quality, and usage metrics
  • Knowledge of ETL and data replication technologies (e.g., SAP Business Objects Data Services (BODS), SLT and Syniti)
  • Experience in Data Governance, Data Standards, Data Quality, Data Taxonomies
  • Database handling languages (SQL and variants)
  • Data modeling (physical and logical), ER diagrams, data dictionary, data map
  • Data manipulation tools such as: SSMS, SSIS, TOAD, Access, Excel, Info Steward, Data Services, Data Virtualization
  • Practical skill sets in BI and Data visualization tools
  • Knowledge of other programming languages and ability to write code (i.e. VBA, python, XML)
  • Knowledge of User Centered Design (UX)

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

  • Knowledge of ETL and data replication technologies (e.g., SAP Business Objects Data Services (BODS), SLT and Syniti)
  • Experience in Data Governance, Data Standards, Data Quality, Data Taxonomies
  • Database handling languages (SQL and variants)
