What role you will play in team

 

The Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing the full contract lifecycle, optimizing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and ensuring strong supplier and stakeholder alignment across categories. This role provides, commercial oversight, governance cadence management, and operational rigor, ensuring that contracting outcomes consistently deliver value, mitigate risk, and support category and business strategies. Work closely with, internal stakeholders, Legal, and Supply partners to drive performance, streamline contracting processes, and ensure high-quality execution across pre award, award, and post award contract lifecycle stages.

 

Job will be based at Bangalore, Whitefield office ( WFO) for 5 days in a week.

What you will do

 

Key Responsibilities


1. Commercial Delivery & Quality Assurance

  • Oversee and review all major negotiations to ensure commercial excellence.
  • Validate pricing structures, terms & conditions, performance metrics, service levels, and risk allocation.
  • Ensure agreements fully reflect business needs, category guidance, and global procurement standards.
  • Support development of negotiation strategies, bid evaluations, and award recommendations.


2. Contract Lifecycle Ownership & Governance

  • Ensure full contract lifecycle in alignment with corporate procedures (Requisition-to-Pay, MOC, stewardship).
  • Maintain governance over scopes, pricing updates, exhibits, amendments, and supplier performance mechanisms.
  • Oversee contract compliance and ensure supplier performance monitoring, issue resolution, and utilization tracking.
  • Support standardization and efficiency of contracting processes, tools, and templates.


3. Category Strategy & Business Alignment

  • Partner with Category Managers to translate category strategy into contracting plans and execution roadmaps.
  • Align team activities with Category commercial and strategic guidance, market intelligence, and risk outlook.
  • Identify opportunities to consolidate demand, optimize contracting models, and enhance value across categories.
  • Provide commercial insights to drive cost avoidance, cost mitigation, and lifecycle value.


4. Supplier Relationship & Performance Oversight

  • Ensure strong supplier engagement and drives value in negotiations and performance management.
  • Provide escalation support for supplier issues, performance gaps, stewardship, or commercial disputes.
  • Ensure actively track performance trends and utilize insights to inform contract changes or renewals.


5. Risk Management & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to corporate policies, legal requirements, and internal controls across all agreements.
  • Partner with Legal and Risk to ensure contract language, liability frameworks, and operational requirements are aligned with corporate standards.
  • Mitigate supply and legal risk through rigorous review of commercial terms and supplier commitments.


6. Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead the improvement of contracting processes, templates, guidelines, and tools.
  • Drive consistency reduce cycle time and increase contracting quality.
  • Support implementation of digital tools, sourcing platforms, and data-driven insights for better decision-making.

About you

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant experience stream with minimum 6 CGPA
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in contracting, negotiations, vendor management, procurement, sourcing, or supply chain operations.
  • Strong knowledge of TCO analysis, sourcing levers, commercial models, and contract law fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate cross-functionally, and manage multiple categories or portfolios.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience of Contracting one/multiple categories from below list:
    • HR/workforce enablement
    • MSP
    • Engineering services
    • Contingent labor
    • business support 
  • Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Manufacturing, or other large-scale industrial procurement environments.
  • Experience with competitive bids, auctions, complex negotiations, and multi-region contracting.
  • Knowledge of procurement systems (ERP, sourcing tools), RtP processes, and contract lifecycle management platforms.
  • Understanding of market trends, supplier landscapes, and category strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver continuous improvement across procurement processes
  • Proven track record of managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving cost efficiencies.
  • Minimum Annual spend managed minimum $ 1M.
