Job will be based at Bangalore, Whitefield office ( WFO) for 5 days in a week.
What role you will play in team
We are currently hiring for Contracts Lead - IT role for ExxonMobil, Bengaluru Location. The self-motived candidate will plan, organize and control business, contracts, negotiations for
strategic acquisition of IT software (On-Prem, SaaS, Subscriptions), IT Hardware & Telecom. The Contract Leads (CL) will be responsible for driving supplier contract management, conducting supplier negotiations, analytically formulating and executing comprehensive supplier management strategies based on the global business environments in the IT Procurement.

What you will do
- Drive value, efficiency and expanded market advantage via end-to-end category management phases, while ensuring operational integrity.
- Plan, organize and control business, contracts, negotiations for acquisition of IT Contracts.
About You
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in IT contacting
- Experience with drafting and negotiating procurement contracts
- Experience of the negotiations of prices and T&Cs for acquisition of IT software (On-Prem, SaaS, Subscriptions) or Telecom
- Responsible for establishing Strategic vision for the commodity, evaluating and sourcing suppliers and managing ongoing supplier relationship to drive projects to achieve the objectives of global requirement.
- Work with IT Project Manager/Business Line in identifying the software required to meet the Business Needs.
- Provide assistance in negotiating medium to high complexity Contracts, drafting/review Statement of Work, Global Agreements and other vendor contracts with internal customer and vendor legal, when needed as well as manage end to end Contract Lifecycle.
- Brings industry expertise in supporting category strategies that drive savings and business transformation. Analyzes the supply market to understand industry trends, market competitiveness, goods, services, alternatives, etc.
- Development of analytics to develop insights in vendor bids and current demand opportunities is an expectation of the role. Expected to lead standard value projects to achieve enterprise goals and objectives.
- Spend management – Market intelligence, analyze the spend and patterns to identify opportunity for consolidation, supplier base rationalization, demand management, alternative analysis etc.
- Experience in complete procurement cycle: should be experienced in Source to Contract (S2C) and Procure to Pay (P2P) activities and operations.
- Manages & leads complex negotiations. Leverages experience across categories and industries to shape the negotiations strategy. Develops creative and innovative strategies that drive significant results. Presents materials to stakeholders and ensures confident decision making in a timely manner.
- Responsible for contract life-cycle management for assigned projects while leveraging relevant partners across the organization.
- Operational Excellence - Manage designated work stream to meet customer and business needs. Have clear goals and objectives of assigned projects. Build accountability for and show progress in achieving results. Identify and address improvement opportunities. Assume responsibility for decision making.
- Communicating Effectively – The ability to effectively develop and communicate one's perspectives and ideas. This includes the ability to convey a compelling message, engage the audience, and adapt the message, delivery, and point-of-view based on the audience's real[1]time or anticipated reactions. This also includes active listening, and eliciting questions, participation, and buy-in from the audience.
- Culture and Compliance – Act as sponsor of Exxon Mobil’s culture by nurturing Exxon Mobil’s mission and values. Have a good understanding of the diversity in culture & communications between the team in India and counterparts in USA. Ensure to operate within the established Exxon Mobil’s Code of Ethics, policies, procedures and local laws.
- Flexible to adapt to work timings beyond assigned shift based on business needs.
- Able to multi-task and respond quickly and effectively to the challenges faced in a fast[1]paced environment, work well under pressure, able to plan and prioritize workload
Preferred skills:
- Understanding of the IT Software Market
- Strategic Commodity management.
- Proven experience of strong analytical and problem-solving skills with history of successful resolution.
- Exhibit attention to detail, sense of urgency and ability to handle multiple tasks in fast paced environment.
- Experience of working with international suppliers or vendors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
