What role you will play in our team

Be a part of our top-tier team of Process Engineers at the Bengaluru Campus which aims to hire experienced professionals to leverage extensive process design and operations expertise, along with strong technical and business judgment skills, leading to drive growth and bring value proposition to the Global ExxonMobil advantaged portfolio. Key capabilities include concept screening and selection, process design and optimization for facilities and offsites, project engineering leadership, facilities surveillance and improvement. Roles that are part of this Job Function support entire ExxonMobil business lines.

What will you do

  • In this role, you are expected to deploy Basic, Front End and Detail Process Engineering expertise across both projects and operations with focus on development, optimization and technical follow-up of facilities design specifications, concept screening and selection, optimization for greenfield & brownfield project scope.
  • You will be providing global Facilities Engineering support from a centralized organization supporting wide variety of projects and/or operating facilities, ranging from:  small projects to major capital projects, greenfield to brownfield, onshore to offshore, sweet to sour designs, conventional/unconventional oil and gas production to LNG and downstream Refining and Chemicals.

What will you do Cont..

  • Perform Cost Reconciliation to previous estimates as the project develops.
  • Perform complete analysis and cost validations using internal and external benchmarking data, historical indices and component benchmarking.
  • Mentor & supports the review of the estimates prepared by the other cost engineers to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with scope of work.
  • Contribute to Lessons Learnt process throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of cost databases and estimation tools.

Ensure the accuracy and currency of cost data within the databases

About you

 

Skills and Qualifications:

 

Required Skills and Qualification:

  • Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Construction Management from a recognized university
  • Minimum 3 years of prior experience in EPC or Project Management in the Oil and Gas Industry
  • 5-10 years of experience in cost estimation or proposal execution
  • Strong understanding of cost estimating techniques and tools to evaluate competitiveness, and related topics
  • Expertise in risk management and mitigation strategies
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements in the energy sector
  • Ability to analyze complex data and generate actionable insights
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address project challenges
  • Good to have: Experience in cost estimation and execution of brownfield projects
  • Good to have: Experience in using cost estimation software such as Aspen CCE

  • Good command of English, both written and spoken
  • Strong presentation skills in English and MS Excel
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to clearly and concisely convey recommendations to project team members and company leadership management
  • Strong organizational, coordination, planning & interface skills and attention to details
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to travel internationally as per business needs
  • Able to work well with others in a fast-changing environment
  • Work in shifts (9am to 6pm or 1:30 pm to 10:30 pm)
  • Willingness to relocate to Bengaluru.

 

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

  • Prior Experience Interfacing with Contractors or teams remotely across multiple countries in oil, gas and energy projects.
  • Experience in training/mentoring new employees.
