What role you will play in our team
The Revenue and Royalty Accounting Supervisor will report to the Revenue and Royalty Accounting Manager and supervise the Revenue and Royalty Accounting Analyst. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the revenue and royalty accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.

What you will do
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Supervision: Supervise the Revenue and Royalty Accounting Analyst, providing guidance, development, and performance feedback
- Revenue Recognition: Oversee the accurate and timely recognition of revenue in accordance with accounting standards and company policies
- Royalties Calculation: Manage the calculation, reporting, and payment of royalties to stakeholders, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and regulatory requirements
- Tax Management: Supervise accounting activities related to government-required taxes, including calculating, submitting, and paying royalty and tax returns to governmental agencies
- Payment Processing and Analysis: Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of revenue and royalty payment processing, ensuring compliance with tax regulations
- National Reporting: Oversee the performance of required national royalty payments and reporting
- Audit Support: Coordinate support for internal and external audits by preparing documentation, responding to inquiries, and ensuring compliance
- Financial Tasks: Supervise various financial tasks, including cost bank bookings, reserves updates, and inventory valuation
About You
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CPA or relevant certification is a plus
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in accounting/ revenue and royalties management, preferably within the oil and gas industry. Experience with SAP and BlackLine systems is a plus
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of revenue recognition principles and royalty management
- Experience with US GAAP accounting standards is a plus
- Excellent process management and optimization skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting
- Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
