Whar role you will play in team

 

The Coordination Lead will work alongside  Project to Assets Analysts and report directly to the Supervisor.  This role involves overseeing the timely and accurate accounting and reporting of long-term fixed assets and intangibles of the company

 

What you will do

 

Key Responsibilities

 

 

  • Team Coordination: Lead and coordinate the activities of Project to Assets Analysts

 

  • Project Oversight: Oversee project creation, monitoring, and capitalization processes

 

  • Cost Control: Ensure effective cost tracking and control

 

  • Accounting & Reporting

 

  • Assist in the accounting and reporting of long-term fixed assets and intangibles.
  • Coordinate month-end close activities and ensure timely completion

 

  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency

 

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain clear and effective communication with business lines and Planning & Stewardship teams

 

  • Training and Development: Provide training and support to Project to Assets Analysts

 

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant controls and reporting requirements

 

About you

 

Required qualifications & Skills

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field

 

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting/finance and reporting of fixed assets and intangibles, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably within the oil and gas industry

 

  • Skills:

 

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with data visualization tools and ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • SAP, Group Reporting , Blackline, Workiva or analytics tools such as PowerBI
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, Proficiency in English
  • Proven track record of leading and coordinating teams
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting/finance and related activities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Resilience, flexibility and agility
