Pipeline Integrity and Operations Advisor

Job Role Summary

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead pipeline integrity workflows including oversight, mentoring, and development of company and contract support resources executing pipeline integrity workflows with third party Technical Support Centers and various production units
  • Provide support to production units relating to operational efficiency, challenges, troubleshooting, decommissioning, startups, flow assurance interfaces, corrosion interfaces, ILI, pigging operations, operating procedures, competency and general inspection planning/execution
  • Improve and oversight of pipeline integrity and inspection workflow practices
  • Support company pipeline integrity management improvement initiatives
  • Proactively identify and develop opportunities to improve program equipment strategies and maintenance tasks
  • Oversight and stewardship of metrics for technical support center service quality, effectiveness, and efficiency in achievement of asset support objectives
  • Coordination of communication (oral and written) between India-based technical support contractors and ExxonMobil affiliates globally
  • Coordination of teleconferences and management of communication tools and reports

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Material Engineering from a recognized university, or related disciplines with minimum GPA 7.0
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in oil and gas industry (production, refining, transmission)
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in oil and gas pipeline integrity management with either operating company, integrity consultancy or ILI inspection vendor
  • Extensive experience and knowledge in:
    • ILI technology, pipeline integrity data analysis, and operation and maintenance of pipelines
    • Development of risk based equipment strategies/maintenance plans for pipeline operations
    • Working knowledge of scenario based risk assessments and HAZIDs
    • Working knowledge of internal and external pipeline corrosion mechanisms
    • Strong analytical skills to efficiently evaluate high volume of critical inspection data
    • Familiar with onshore and offshore pipeline design codes, standards and recommended practices
    • Familiar with remaining life or fitness for service assessments
    • Familiar with ILI Standards and Recommended Practices
