Job Role Summary


Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead for all facility Integrity inspection and testing workflows, including oversight, mentoring, and development of company and contract support resources
  • Improvement and oversight of inspection workflow practices. Inspection workflows included but are not limited to: 
  • visual inspections (internal/external) analysis
  • thickness monitoring data analysis
  • corrosion coupon and probe analysis
  • testing and non-destructive examination results in support of corrosion/degradation monitoring for pressure equipment, piping, fired equipment, flares, pressure relief devices, structures, and/or marine facilities
  • Oversight and stewardship of metrics for technical support center service quality, effectiveness, and efficiency in achievement of asset support objectives
  • Coordination of communication between India based technical support contractors and ExxonMobil affiliates globally which includes coordination of teleconferences and management of communication tools and reports by using intranet and extranet (e.g. SharePoint, Meridium, SAP and Business Focus)
  • Advise the inspection scope optimization opportunities based on standards, risk, and local regulatory considerations.
  • Advise the opportunities to improve consequence/criticality assessments
  • Advise the opportunities to change and/or draft new risk based equipment strategies in the company databases guidelines

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree from a recognized university in Mechanical Engineering, Material Engineering, or related disciplines with minimum GPA 7.0 and above
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in refining, petrochemical, LNG, oil & gas or related industries
  • Minimum five years of leadership or supervisory experience 
  • Certification in API 580, API 510, API 570, and/or API 653
  • Extensive experience and knowledge in:
    • service inspection, maintenance, procurement and repair of pressure equipment, piping systems, pressure relief devices and tanks
    • reviewing and approving risk based equipment strategies, inspection plans, and welding/major repairs
    • developing and reviewing turnaround inspection work packs, resource identification and mobilization, interfacing with multiple departments and stakeholders (including projects, operations, maintenance), and budgeting stewardship
    • root cause failure analysis and lessons learned capture
    • development and stewardship of pressure equipment quality management systems and inspection procedures
    • PRD Data Sheets, P&IDs, and Isometrics, and Upstream facilities engineering
    • pressure equipment and piping industry codes such as ASME design codes (e.g. B31.3, ASME Section VIII, Div 1 & 2), PCC-2, and NACE
    • NDE methods, including application and limitations
    • upstream facilities damage mechanisms and experience with risk screening and assessment of pressure equipment anomalies, including fitness-for-service evaluations
  • Experience in design and selection of pressure equipment and/or piping systems, and pressure relief device sizing and selection will be an advantage
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
