What role you will play in our team
As a key member of the Global Trading Regulatory & Compliance team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the administration and analysis of ExxonMobil Global Trading’s regulatory and compliance frameworks. This includes managing processes, systems, documentation, data, calendars, and projects that underpin the compliance function.
You will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate data analysis and reporting on a daily, monthly, and annual basis—both globally and regionally. Your role will involve system validation, reconciliation, and administration, with a strong focus on maintaining quality control across all compliance activities. Key responsibilities include monitoring trade surveillance activities, administering sanctions programs supporting regulatory reporting requirements and managing compliance-related data and documentation. You will also ensure the consistent execution of compliance tasks, maintain system integrity, and contribute to the broader compliance function through structured reporting, controls, and continuous process improvement.
What you will do
- Surveillance Monitoring & Reporting
- Execute daily trade surveillance tasks, including alert reviews and escalation tracking.
- Prepare and distribute routine compliance reports (e.g., position limits, trade activity, sanctions screening).
- Support monthly and quarterly KPI reporting for Trading and Compliance leadership.
- Administer sanctions screening processes and maintain documentation for audit readiness.
- Track and report sanctions-related metrics and compliance status.
- Maintain and update compliance calendars, SharePoint directories, and version-controlled documents.
- Perform system reconciliations and data validations across multiple platforms.
- Support registration updates and regulatory filings with external bodies (e.g., exchanges, clearing brokers).
- Compliance Training Program Management
- Maintain and update the Compliance Training Program, including scheduling, tracking completions, and reporting.
- Ensure training materials are current and aligned with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Support onboarding and refresher training initiatives for trading and support staff.
- Grant, review, and revoke access to compliance systems and data repositories.
- Assist in periodic access audits and ensure alignment with internal control standards.
- Maintain and update Compliance operating processes and documents.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure alignment with evolving trading activities.
- Collaborate with Global Trading, Market Risk and Global Trading Regulatory and Compliance, Legal team to perform regular and ad-hoc task.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or Banking, or Finance is preferred
- 2+ years of experience in business analysis or compliance reporting, preferably in Commodities Trading, Financial Institute or Trading Regulatory bodies or similar space.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple operational tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with trade surveillance tools, sanctions screening systems, and regulatory reporting platforms.
- Experience in managing compliance training programs and tracking performance metrics.
- Proficiency in Excel, SharePoint, and data visualization/reporting tools.
- Ability to distill complex data into clear summaries for leadership.
- Experience in compliance operations, preferably in trading or financial services
- Willing to work from early afternoon to late evening (around 10pm) supporting London trading hours.
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
- Familiarity with ExxonMobil Trading organization
- Experience with or knowledge of financial derivative regulatory frameworks
- Experience with coding and process design and automation
