Job will be based at Bangalore, Whitefield office ( WFO) for 5 days in a week.
What role you will play in team
The Business Analyst - GS is responsible for development and implementation of processes related to the SIP (Smart Intelligent Platform)/Ariba tool and plays a critical role in supporting the Center of Excellence (CoE) through advanced analytics, performance tracking, and strategic reporting. This role ensures data accuracy across key tools and platforms, drives insights for supplier development, and supports global sourcing initiatives through structured analysis and stakeholder engagement.
The Business Analyst – GS will collaborate across functions to strengthen supplier engagement, monitor key performance metrics, and ensure adherence to internal processes and audit standards. This role is also responsible for managing reporting and KPIs, leading communications initiatives such as the GS newsletter, prioritizing enhancements to the SIP platform, interfacing with GEP for system updates, and serving as the administrator and custodian of platform-related SharePoint sites
What you will do
- Supports the CoE’s advanced analytics by ensuring SIP tool/Ariba can accurately capture and report metrics to feed into CoE KPIs
- Perform quarterly validation and reporting of GS BV metrics, monitor transitions, analyze regional performance, and highlight growth opportunities to relevant stakeholders for strategic planning
- Develop and maintain dashboards and analytics for the GS Matrix, ensuring they are shared with the team on a fortnightly basis.
Supplier Qualification Matrix: Maintain and analyze supplier qualification records using key metrics such as qualification status and assessment progress. Create visual summaries to support management reviews and strategic updates
ExxonMobil Supplier List Matrix: Perform ad-hoc analysis of data to support business needs, ensuring timely and accurate insights for decision-making
Supplier Performance Management Matrix: Monitor and update on a fortnightly basis by analyzing and tracking regional SPM scorecards, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting to support performance management objectives
- Ensures SIP tickets are resolved within the agreed SLA turnaround time, proactively developing action plans for anticipated delays, conducting and publishing monthly delay and root cause analyses for breached tickets, and performing fortnightly health checks of the SIP platform to identify and report non-functional features or reports.
- Maintain and update various GS decks on an as-needed basis to ensure accurate and current information is available for reporting and decision-making.
- Manage SharePoint access by providing timely permissions to relevant stakeholders in coordination with the Supplier Qualification Team, and conduct bi-annual Access Reviews for all owned SharePoint sites and groups to ensure compliance with audit requirements.
- Budget Monitoring: Assist in tracking budget usage and report any variances or updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Led the quarterly GS Newsletter initiative to enhance supplier engagement by gathering cross-functional insights, analyzing supplier performance data, and curating strategic content aligned with GS objectives.
- Document business processes, workflows, and system interactions to support continuous improvement.
About you
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3 Years of experience developing and implementing enterprise-wide IT solutions,
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Analytics, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science (or similar) and score 60% and above (equivalent CGPA)
- knowledge and understanding of Procurement Sourcing processes and project practices, particularly in the context of procurement.
- Minimum 3 years of experience involving the use of Business Analytics tools such as advanced Excel and Power BI features (including Power Query and Power Pivot)
- Preferably history working with 3rd party technology vendors such as: Bloomberg, IHS, Power Advocate, etc.
- Strong ability to create reports that drive business value compiled from unstructured and semi-structured data
- Strong communicator with the ability to distill analysis, crystalize insights and make recommendations based on analysis in both visual and oral forms
- Experience presenting to both technical and business audiences
- Effective communication, interpersonal and planning skills
- Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communications
- Ability to network across Upstream, Downstream and Procurement organizations, influencing without authority
- Ability to identify and drive work process updates to improve effectiveness in capturing business value
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software suite (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
- Experienced in publishing, editing articles and newsletters
