What role you will play in our team

 

The Process Engineering Student works closely with other integrated teams to support day to day operations and long term initiatives of the refinery. Assignments will vary depending on the initiatives and ongoing work in the plant.

What you will do

 

  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders including operations, reliability, and automation engineers to support safe and reliable unit operation
  • Work with cross functional teams to identify, develop and implement operational and facility improvements with focus on safety, reliability, economics and sustainability
  • Effectively communicate status of unit operation, improvement opportunities and operating costs to various stakeholders

About you


Skills and Qualifications
 

  • Currently pursuing a BSc in Chemical Engineering from a Canadian Accredited University
  • Demonstrated leadership and strong academic skills
  • Previous industry experience is considered beneficial, but not essential
  • To be considered for employment, your most recent unofficial transcript(s) must be submitted with your application
     


Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
 

  • Commitment to safety
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required for the role
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, results-oriented individuals who are energized by working with people and by achieving superior results
  • Valid driver’s license

 

Start date: August 1st – September 1st 2024

 

Work term: 12 - 13 months
