What role will you play in our team

 

  • Supply Coordination team creates value by ensuring customers receive reliable supply of required fuel products while also supporting revenue growth, and minimizing costs across the supply chain
  • Supply Coordinator creates value by leveraging expertise in the following areas:
    • Understanding and executing contract terms accurately, efficiently and cost effectively
    • Optimizing inventory to manage supply reliability risks and reduce costs
    • Maximizing the value gained through supply logistics utilization
    • Producing and executing logistics scheduling that is timely, accurate, and efficient
    • Ensuring timely and accurate product movement data (volumes, qualities, etc.)
  • Supply Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing end-to-end supply logistics for various fuel products (i.e. gasoline, diesel, etc.)
  • Supply Coordinator is responsible for the movements via various methods of transportation (pipeline, marine, rail, truck) and may also manage inventory (primarily in pipelines, rail cars, trucks, vessels and terminals)
  • Job Location:  Buenos Aires, Argentina

What you will do

 

  • Coordinates and communicates effectively with traders, optimizers, refineries, sales, and marketing to forecast and plan supply schedules in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Partners with trading and optimization to identify and capture market opportunities
  • Develops and executes schedules for movement of fuel products via pipeline, marine, rail, and/or truck based on projected production and customer demands
  • Nominates requirements to pipeline, marine, rail, or truck carriers; nominates inspectors to test vessels/tanks; interacts with third parties daily to execute product movements
  • Manages inventory to agreed operating targets and year-end levels, while maintaining supply reliability to refinery, marketing, and/or third party customers
  • Supports development and implementation of cost-effective solutions to planned and unplanned supply disruptions
  • Supports growth and management of change initatives involving addition of new products, new business, changes to regultarory requirements, among others
  • Identifies and implements continuous improvement initiatives to grow the business and reduce logistics costs
  • Serves as key interface between accounting and the business line ensuring third parties are paid accurately and timely
  • Closely interacts with the broader supply coordination & rail planning operations team in Canada

About you

 

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or related discipline 
  • Experience in any of the following is strongly recommended:
    • Scheduling or coordinating petroleum supply
    • Refining, pipeline or chemicals operations
  • Solid proficiency in use of MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience in SAP, Analysis for Office, and Tableau is a plus
  • Knowledge of rail operations considered an asset
